Welcome to Coffee, Kindness, & Inclusion

Hi — I’m Jessica.

And if this space feels a little like pulling up a chair, taking a breath, and settling in with a warm cup of coffee, that’s intentional.

Coffee, Kindness, & Inclusion exists because meaningful change doesn’t happen in soundbites or slogans. It happens in thoughtful conversations, lived experience, and the quiet (sometimes uncomfortable) work of doing better — for people, for systems, and for ourselves.

What I do — and why it matters

I’m a global learning and inclusion leader who designs programs, cultures, and systems where people don’t just show up — they thrive.

That means:

  • Architecting and scaling learning programs for thousands of professionals
  • Leading complex, cross-functional initiatives that demand strategy, governance, and calm under pressure
  • Embedding disability inclusion and accessibility into learning, leadership, and culture — before someone has to ask why it matters

Accessibility isn’t optional.
Psychological safety isn’t a “nice to have.”
And learning should actually stick.

Where I’m making impact

I’m honored to be joining Delta Air Lines as an incoming member of the Advisory Board on Disability and Accessible Travel, partnering with executives, operational leaders, and disability advocates to help shape more accessible airport, onboard, and digital experiences.

My work lives at the intersection of lived experience and learning expertise — influencing training, behavior, and inclusive design at scale.

What you’ll find here

This blog will explore:

  • Disability inclusion beyond good intentions
  • Accessibility designed from the start — not retrofitted later
  • Learning that changes behavior, builds confidence, and lasts
  • Leadership rooted in empathy, accountability, and real-world complexity

Sometimes the posts will be practical.
Sometimes reflective.
Sometimes quietly challenging.

And a little about me, beyond the work

I’m a proud Shriners Children’s Chicago kid, turning lived disability experience into leadership — and, occasionally, strong opinions.
I’m supervised by Shiloh, my Coton de Tulear and unofficial Chief Morale Officer.
And I believe deeply in growth and redemption arcs — yes, even The Grinch figured it out eventually.

If you care about accessibility, inclusive leadership, lifelong learning, or thoughtful conversations that move the work forward, you’re in the right place.

So grab your coffee.
Pull up a chair.
And welcome.
